I did my own pedicure two nights ago and it turned out pretty nice :)
I did my own manicure last night and when I woke up this morning, it became a disaster. SUCH PAIN IN THE EYE :(
I must have slept through the night like a baby that I didn't realize I was smudging it with other fingers.
Pretty nails is very comforting, but once it turns ugly, it makes me angry. Arghh.
I just called like all the nail salon at town area and all is either fully booked or they charge like RM50 for just a manicure session. NORMAL PRICE IS RM30!
Then I called the one in Gurney Paragon, Chez Nail and they only charge at RM45. RM5 cheaper than the rest, WHY NOT!
Dear nails of mine, don't worry. Few more hours to getting you all fixed and looking all pretty when collecting angpows :)
ONE MORE SLEEP TO QONG XI QONG XI!

Mom-Daughter Bonding Over Pineapple Tarts.
I don't know if you all know that I can't bake.
I can cook but I can't bake.
Very beh paiseh right to say I can cook. Haha. Actually I really can cook. It's just sometimes I become so lazy to cook. Also because my mom cooks everyday for dinner.
Anyways, if I have to choose either cooking or baking, it'll be definitely COOKING. No need to think for one second or split second, i sure answer COOKING.
I have so many bad/funny experiences in baking that I no longer want to go near it.
Once, I tried baking a whole cake. Can't remember what flavour I wanted to do. The dough turned out to be as hard as a rock. NO KIDDING. You see, in the first place, it's not supposed to be like a dough-y kind. Oh wellz. Those were the days. At least I tried a few times.
So this time, I decided to do it once more. Some years my mom made them herself and I remembered loving these tarts to the madness. I would keep popping them into my mouth. This year, my mom got so busy with so many other things and I happily suggested to her to make this but I will do it with her.
She have to do it with me because if she leaves me to it, I don't know what will happen to the tarts.
So yeah, apparently I didn't really give up due to bad experiences. I just let myself breathe fora while few years then back to trying. Thank God Koay is not a dessert kind of person.
Gong Xi Fa Chai, everyone :)

Making pineapple tarts is quite easy. Let me show you how.
First, you put some oil (in my case olive oil) on your palms and start rolling the pineapple fillings.
Like this. Yes, I try to be artistic. I try lah.
Them, you just repeat doing the same thing for the next two hours. Kidding, it doesn't take that long if you're efficient like me *grins*
Tadaaa :)
Cute little things.
Ingredients to make the dough: eggs, flour and butter.
Never too old to bake things with mom :)
Special Edition :D
And the babies are done. Yumsss :)

Amazing Stories.
So, I read this article called, "The 35 Most Touching Photos Ever Taken" in Facebook and boy, did it made me cry. Indeed, touching.
I just want to share some of which really stirred up certain emotions inside. Some. just some.
Here it goes.

An arthritic 19-year-old dog named Schoep is cradled by his owner, John, in the waters of Lake Superior, where the buoyancy eases the dog’s pain, allowing him to fall asleep comfortably in his owner’s arms. Shortly after this photo started to spread online, people everywhere began donating money, allowing John to pay for the surgery and medication Shoep needed to live more comfortably. John used the remaining money to start a foundation to help other pets in pain.

I left this opened for like 20 minutes, trying to figure out why I even open it in the first place.
I still can't figure out why.
I just know that I wanted to say something here, but now, it's just off my mind.
Still thinking...
Nope.. Nothing so far..
Ahhh.. Where did it go to?
Ayo, never mind lah. I give up trying to think d.

I have been trying to upload some photos randomly but the connection here is so bad that everytime I click refresh, it kinda got worse?
So, I give up.

Things cannot always go according to my ways only, right?
One more day to the end of the week. YEEEHAWWW!

Nandos, bestnya.
So, my mom told me I've got a couple of letters that's waiting for me on the table.
A brown one and a white envelope one.
The brown envelope was already opened before me. Angry me. Nolah, not angry lah. More like a bit annoyed.
When I was few years younger, I don't receive letters like that. It's only when I started working and all the commitments suddenly appear and Groupon became one of my favorite site to look at, then these letters come in like no one's business.
Let me tell you this, you people who haven't start working yada yada. IT'S VERY NICE WHEN YOU SEE LETTERS ADDRESSED TO YOUR NAME. That feeling is really nice. Maybe except those kind of letters that are actually bills. I haven't reach that stage yet la of course.
So, when someone else opens my letter before me, I don't like it. It's like, come on lah! The opening of the letter with your name is the best part okay! Wait, that's the second best part. The best part is finding out what letter is that. BEST GILER.
Anyways, so I opened the brown one and saw one stack of red angpows inside. Guess from who?!
NANDOS!
My favorite mam mam chicken outlet. Gosh, they seriously send to their members a stack of ang pows? Too bad no money inside. Actually I didn't check whether got also or not. Most likely not. Haha. I know lah, just angpows but I make it such a big deal like that.
It's always nicer to receive something unexpected.
Then, the other while envelope was the "recognition" that my application for a house is accepted and in the process of more process.. Worry. Stop. Pray.
I can't wait to own a house on my own :)

Nibong Tebal with Nine Humans.
Funfact#01: I love roadtrips!
It is no surprise for those who have known me for a while now that I love going for roadtrips. Even better if can spend a night or two at wherever-we-go.
Places like Genting Highlands, must stay at least a night. Cameron Highlands at least two nights. If go cold places like these, stay more night more fun whattt.
Anyways, once work-life started, it's very difficult to go for trips like that. Spontaneous trips lagi no need to say. So, when Public Holiday hits on weekdays, we must always make it to full use. GO FOR ONE DAY TRIP!
This time, it was going to be Nibong Tebal. Nothing much to do there actually. It was more of a eat-eat-and-eat kinda trip. Initially, I thought it was just going to be just both of us but we decided the more the merrier.
We went in two cars. All nine of us. Oh ya. Next time we have outings, anyone can join okayy? Like I say, THE MORE THE MERRIER! But of course everything is at own expense :)
We left the island at about 11:30am and slowly drive to the first place to mam mam. Then, we drove to a shop which sells jerseys, shoes, sports pants, sports equipment etc. A friend of ours actually introduced this shop to us like 4-5 years ago? He especially love this shop because the sports pants that he bought many years ago still usable and is actually very comfy.
I got myself a pair of sport shoe, he got a couple of sports pants, Josh got a sports pant, and the rest I don't know if they got anything from there. It definitely feels like we need to go back there because now I need to get those sports pants. THEY ARE TOO COMFY and they are only like RM10 each! :)
Then, we drove to the famous coffeeshop that sells a few nice hawker food and iced kacang and shaved ice etc.
It didn't matter if we just ate my favorite pork soup noodles like few hours ago, we still ordered like we haven't eaten lunch :)
After that, we decided to drive to Bukit Merah since it's only 15 minutes away. We wanted to go somewhere to wait till dinner time to have CRAB PORRIDGE! The only thing was it was such horrible dinner. New restaurant and a few times when I was there, people were standing up waiting for tables, so I assumed that it was either super good or super cheap. NEITHER OF THAT. Pffft.
All in all, I had lots of fun. We went to the mini zoo, which was shockingly fun.
Funfact#02: I love going to the zoo!
Just sitting by the lake..
:)
Waiting for the animal show to start.
Upon seeing this, Gary said, "Eh! Got ostrich here also ah?"
Last time with S2, it's IMPOSSIBLE to capture this kind of shot. Goldii memang best.
His butt is more kiau than anyone I've ever known.
Feeding ducks and giving them names :)
Muka sini banyak round.
They have the LONGEST tongue ever. No kidding. One day I'll post the video.
We learnt that hedgehogs are all born blind.
Small kids all excited to be in the zoo.
Famous for its ice blended drinks (peanut, fresh orange, red bean etc) and hokkien ta and super cheap too!
The place to get sports pants, whether for sports purpose or as pajamas. Thumbs up :)
Saja syiok!
Such a lovely day :)
Till next public holiday guys.
